Agnes "Mary Lou" Gunn De Giuseppe Agnes Mary Lou Gunn De Giuseppe, 87, went home to be with the Lord on Monday October 22, 2012. The family will receive friends for visitation on Monday October 29, 2012 from 6 until 8 p.m. at George H. Hewell and Son Funeral Home, 4140 University Blvd., S. A private, graveside service will be held for the family the following morning and a public Home Going Celebration will be held on November 9th at 10:30 a.m. at Christian Family Chapel, 10365 Old St. Augustine Rd., Jacksonville, FL 32257. Mary Lou was born in Berlin, Georgia on September 13, 1925 to William and Minnie Lou Gunn. Shortly after high school, she learned welding. She worked at the Jacksonville Shipyards and later moved to Oak Ridge, TN where she worked as a welder on the atomic bomb. She eventually moved to Jacksonville, FL and retired from the May-Cohens Department Store, where she worked as a comptometer operator in the Merchandising Dept. Mary Lou was a member of Christian Family Chapel where she was active in the Amazing Grays group. She loved to go to church and missed going when she became too ill. She enjoyed working in the yard, crocheting and cooking homemade Italian food. Mary Lou was preceded in death by her husband, Michael De Giuseppe. She leaves behind her daughter, Shirley Elliott and granddaughter, Jennilee St. John.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in her name may be made to Proclaim Intl, P.O.
