Akeem Oliver-Roy Thompson, Sr, aka "DJ TERRAH" 39, of Alachua County, Gainesville, Florida, passed away on August 19, 2021 in Gainesville.His private funeral service will be for family members only. There will also be a "DJ Terrah's Life Celebration Memorial event for the public held on Saturday, September 4th, 2021 at the Bo Didley Plaza, downtown Gainesville.Akeem Oliver-Roy Thompson Sr, aka "DJ TERRAH" was born in Brooklyn, NY to Elwin Oliver Thompson and Lisa Marie Canton on March 22, 1982. He went to high school at Buchholz H.S. He worked as a Radio DJ, On-Air Personality, Mix Show Director and Radio Programmer for MAGIC 101.3 (WTMG) and for 98.9 JAMZ. He was an avid music producer and was the Vice President of Go Legit Entertainment. He was involved in the historic Freemason Lodge and he enjoyed raising his 3 children, spending time with his large family and close friends and providing music for the world to enjoy. He appeared on BET representing Gainesville's Hip Hop DJ's; he opened for Snoop Dogg, Busta Rhymes and learned and trained with Funk Master Flex.
