Alan "Al" Gray,78, ofFort White, FL, passed away onSeptember 26, 2019,of natural causes.Alanwas born inWashington, DConApril, 22, 1941 and was a long time resident of New Smyrna Beach, FL.Alan was married toCandyonAugust 18, 1978; they were married41 years.Alan worked as an automotive mechanic for himself for more than 30 years. He enjoyed racing and building race cars and go-carts for himself and friends. He was also actively involved in fishing and camping.Alanis survived byhis wife, Candy; his sons, Alan, Sean, and Jason; his daughters, Sherry, Amber and Brandy; his grandchildren, Crystal, Tony, BobbyJo, Elizabeth, Rocky, Lucinda, Jacob, Joseph, Joshua, Jonathan, Jaclyn, Autumn, Janie, Kassidy, Kiley, Alisia, and Trey; nieces, Linda, Cheryl, Terry, and Tracie, and nephew Gary.Alanis preceded in death byhis father Albert, mother Ellen, sister Louise and her daughter Jodi, sister, Sandy, daughter, Dawn, and brothers Albert, and Patrick.In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given toThe American Diabetes Association, by mail to 2301 Maitland Center Pkwy, Suite 126, Maitland, Florida 32751 or online at https://www.diabetes.org/donate.A memorial will be held at a future date and time.
