Mr. Albert Harold Byers age 74 of Starke passed away Friday, October 22, 2010 at Windsor Manor Nursing Home. Mr. Byers was born on December 13, 1935 in Gillette, PA to the late Jesse and Pearl Moore Byers. He moved to Starke in 1972 from New York, and was a retired gas company pipe fitter. Survivors are: his wife of 56 years Mildred Shutt Byers of Starke; children: Ron Byers; Harold Byers Susan Byers; James Byers all of Starke; Timothy Byers of Greenville, NC; sisters: Mildred Drake and Cressie Roy both of New York; brothers: Edward Byers of New York; Arthur Byers of Washington; three grandchildren; four great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son Roger Byers. The family will receive friends at the DEWITT C. JONES CHAPEL, 620 E. Nona St. in Starke on Tuesday, October 26, 2010 from 1:00 to 3:00 PM with funeral services beginning at 3 oclock. The Reverend Justin Kirksey of Madison Street Baptist Church will officiate.
