KERSEY: Funeral services for Albert Elvis Kersey, 87, who passed away on February 17, 2023, will be held Thursday at 9:30 AM February 23, 2023 in the chapel of George H. Hewell and Son Funeral Home, 4140 University Blvd. S., Jacksonville, FL 32216, with Pastor Rocky Morris officiating. Interment will follow in Jacksonville National Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home. Mr. Kersey was born in Stillmore, Georgia to the late Albert and Della Kersey and was a longtime resident of Jacksonville, Florida. He had retired with the rank of Chief from the U.S. Navy. He later retired from the Jacksonville Sheriffs Office as a Corrections Officer.
