Albert Lloyd Radspinner, age 92, passed away on Sunday November 18, 2018 at the Earl B. Hadlow Center for Caring Hospice in Jacksonville. A prayer service will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday November 20, 2018 in George H. Hewell & Son Funeral Home, 4140 University Blvd., S. A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday November 21, 2018 in Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Rd.Mr. Radspinner was born in Raleigh, North Carolina on January 30, 1926 to William A. Radspinner & Madge McCreary Radspinner. A veteran of WWII, Albert served in the United States Army Air Corps, having entered his service as an Aviation Cadet. He went on to receive his Bachelors & Masters Degrees from the University of Florida and later his PhD from the University of Hawaii. Mr. Radspinner spent much of his working life as an Engineer & Land Surveyor both in the private sector and for the government, through the Corps of Engineers. He also spent 4 years as an educator in Honduras as part of President Kennedys Agency for International Development and the Alliance for Progress.Albert is survived by his wife of 71 years, Virginia A. Radspinner; his daughter, Karen Radspinner; a brother, William Radspinner and by many extended family members & friends.The family wishes to extend their deep appreciation to staff of the Hadlow Center for their care and compassion through this difficult time.Memorial donations may be made in Mr. Radspinners memory to the charity of your favor..Prayer ServiceGeorge H.
