Mr. Alfred Oscar Johnson, age 88, of Keystone Heights passed away in Starke Friday, May 1, 2015. He was born in Brooklyn, New York on December 16, 1926 to the late Eric and Inga Johnson and moved to Keystone Heights in 1986 from Ohio. Mr. Johnson first retired from the United States Army as a Paratrooper Instructor and then retired a second time from Bell Atlantic Telephone Company which is now known as Verizon. He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church and enjoyed gardening with his wife and wood working. His first wife of 58 years, Lillie "Belle" had preceded him death along with his son, Alfred Eric Johnson. Mr. Johnson is survived by his wife of 3 years Susanne Johnson; two sons, George Allen Johnson (Vicky) of Ft. Wayne, Indiana and David Roy Johnson (Sharon) of Keystone Heights; one step-son, Jason Smith of Keystone Heights; two brothers, Carl Lundh of Spring Hill and Alof Lundh of Los Angeles, California; one sister in-law, Edith and one brother in-law Bob. Also left behind is one grandson, six step-grandchildren and the cat he adored, Frances. A memorial service for Mr. Johnson will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 4, 2015 at Trinity Baptist Church with Pastor James Peoples officiating. In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to Trinity Baptist Church Missions Fund, P.O. Box 1099, Keystone Heights, FL 32656.
