It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Alfredo Edil Rodriguez, beloved father of six, grandfather, and cherished friend, who passed away peacefully on January 11, 2025, at the age of 87.Alfredo was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico on September 16, 1937 and lived a life filled with dedication, love, and service. A proud Vietnam War Veteran, Alfredo served his country with honor, and his legacy of bravery and sacrifice will never be forgotten. After returning home, he became a business owner, known for his hard work and integrity. In addition to his career, Alfredo was a passionate farmer, finding joy and peace in working the land and cultivating plants, a hobby that brought him much comfort in his later years.Above all, Alfredo was a devoted father to his six children, who were the light of his life. His grandchildren were a source of immense pride and joy, and he cherished his role as a grandpa, always ready to share his wisdom, love, and laughter.Alfredo's passing leaves a void in the hearts of all who knew him, but his spirit will live on through his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and the many lives he touched throughout his journey. He will be remembered for his strength, his kindness, and his unwavering commitment to those he loved.Alfredo is survived by his children Waleska, Wanda, Armando, Alfredo, Luis, and Janette, his 13 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and many other family members and friends.A memorial service will be held at Jones-Gallagher Funeral Home on Saturday, February 22, 2025 at 12:00 pm, where family and friends can gather to honor Alfredo's memory.
