Listen to Obituary
To explain Alice B. Binns in a formal sense, one might say that she was brought into this world by William and Alice Martin on March 8, 1922 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Then they'd continue to explain that she married Curtis A. Binns in 1948, had two children, Alice "Carol" and Deborah, and traveled the world. Next maybe they would share how she was a devoted Presbyterian, worked for The Korman Corporation in Philadelphia for 22 years, and moved to Florida in 1983. She had 8 grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter.In an informal sense, and to her friends and family, one would explain that Alice "Granny" Binns, loved the finer things in life; wine, traveling, opera, and copious amounts of butter. She made the best stuffing every Thanksgiving, loved to read, always up to date on the CNN news, was known for her expertise in Swedish weaving, and spent her time with the Branford Quilting Club.On October 14, 2018, at 96 years old, Alice joined her late husband, Curtis A. Binns, and beloved pets Mitzie, Maggie, and Reggie. In remembrance of "Granny," we share a quote from one of her favorite people: "God gave you two ears and one mouth for a reason ... Listen twice and speak once!" - Judge Judy. Funeral Home Evans-Carter Funeral Home 18724 North Main Street High Springs FL - 32643 US 386-454-2444
