Alice Marie Sorrell, age 67 of Starke passed away on April 11, 2015. Mrs. Sorrell was born in Jasper, Florida on February 12, 1948 to the late Jack and Pearline Sutton. She worked as a Correctional Officer in Bradford County for 25 years. Alice loved life, family, shopping, feeding birds, going on cruises, the mountain; and most of all her grandchildren. She was preceded by her father, Jack Sutton; mother, Pearline "Swilley" Sutton. Survivors include her daughter, Deneise (Michael) Dease of Auburndale, FL; sons, Raymond (Mary) Sorrell of Auburndale, FL, Ken (Shari) Sorrell of Dunnellon, FL, and Josh Davies of Starke; brother, James (Debbie) Sutton of Lake Bulter, FL; sisters, Sybil (John) Dempsey of Starke, FL and Rosie (James) Stephens of Dundee, FL; and multiple grandchildren and great grandchildren. Memorial Services will be held on Friday, April 17, 2015 in the DeWitt C. Jones Chapel in Starke at 6PM. Mrs. Sorrells remains will be buried in Auburndale, Florida at a later date.
