Alice H. Thompson

Sweet, caring, smart, sincere, shy, beautiful. Devoted wife, daughter, sister, aunt, step mother, "grandma", and friend. Preceded in death by parents J.D. and Delia Hickox and sister Betty Taylor (Owen Taylor). Survived by husband Don Thompson, son Russell Thompson (Alison Thompson); grandchildren: Andy, Sean, Katie, Patrick; sisters Faye Harden (George Harden) and Lynette Bryant (Wayne Bryant): nieces and nephews: Dale, Glenda, Gail, Michael, Devon, Twylia, Dana, Kevin. Alice was born in Brunswick, GA, April 8, 1947 and was raised in Charlton Co., GA. She was washed in the Blood at an early age and was faithful all her life. She was a dedicated worker for Prudential Ins. Co. for more than 30 years; followed by JP Morgan Chase for 15 years. This brave person fought cancer for 8 long years and never stopped trying to beat it. Her courage and will to win are an inspiration to all. A viewing will be held at Hewell and Son Funeral Homes, 4140 University Blvd. S., Jacksonville, from 2:00PM - 4:00 PM, July 17, 2015.
