Mrs. Alice Virginia VanBoskerck age 87, of Jacksonville passed away, Friday, August 30, 2013 at Haven Hospice Custead Care Center in Orange Park. She was born on March 23, 1926 in Aberdeen, North Carolina to the late Luther and Alberta (Benoy) Butler. She was a homemaker and a member of Ivy Baptist Church in Pinebluff, North Carolina. Mrs. VanBoskerck also enjoyed being with her children, crocheting, shopping, playing bingo, attending the Alhambra, and watching Days of Our Lives. Her husband LeRoy Charles VanBoskerck had preceded her in death. Survivors are her children; LeRoy VanBoskerck and his wife Barbara, and Ginger Casanova all of Orange Park, Norma Hall and her husband Bryan and Cindy Barfield and her husband Ricky all of Middleburg. Also left behind is one sister, Myrtle Boykin of Garden City, Virginia, 13 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, and one great great granddaughter. Funeral services will be held, Tuesday, September 3, 2013 at 4:00 p.m. in the Helm-Gallagher Funeral Home with Rev. Ron Baker officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services beginning.
