Mrs. Allegra Louise McRae, age 84 of Starke, passed away Tuesday, September 11, 2012. She was born on March 8, 1928 in Newark, Ohio to the late Aldrey and Helen Louise (Wehl) Rummel and moved to Starke in 1960. Mrs. McRae was a member of First Baptist Church of Starke for 49 years, a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, and was a Hospice volunteer. Prior to retirement she worked with Dr. Felos as a nurse for 15 years. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, M. Murry McRae, M/Sgt., U.S. Army, Retired, a daughter, Heather McRae and a brother, Lynn Rummel. Survivors are: children, Murry Mac McRae (Terry) of Tallahassee, Tryphenia Alivandi (Abdoul) of Melbourne and Rose McClellan (Farelon) of Lawtey, 2 sisters, Joyce Rummel of Tampa and Glenda Thurow of Dover, grandchildren: Besjon Alivandi (Shweta) of Boston, MA, Shannon Smith (Kim) of Starke, Laila Alivandi of Orlando, Josh McClellan of Strarke, Lauren Ashley Calhoun of Charleston, SC, Heather Hardee (Steven) of Lawtey, Tonya Troehler (Scott) of St. Augustine, Justin Alivandi (Nikki) of Atlanta, GA, Sarah Kathryn Wright (Austin) of Tallahassee, Daniel McRae of Tampa and Soraya Alivandi of Boston, MA. She was blessed with 14 great-grandchildren and expecting another one. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and her caregiver, Lynn Tibbets. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, September 14, 2012 in the Dewitt C. Jones Chapel of Jones-Gallagher Funeral Home in Starke with Reverend Lewis Cooper officiating. The family will receive friends Friday at the funeral home from 10:00 AM until time of services at 11:00 AM. Entombment will follow at Crosby Lake Cemetery.
