In Loving Memory of Allene Ray MosleyJanuary 26, 1928 - April 30, 2025Allene Ray Mosley, 97, passed away peacefully on April 30, 2025, at Community Hospice St. Vincent's Riverside Center for Caring in Jacksonville, Florida. A native of Live Oak, Florida, Allene lived a long and meaningful life, dearly loved by her family and all who had the pleasure of knowing her.She attended Andrew Jackson High School and was a faithful member of Mayfair Baptist Church. Allene built her life on quiet strength, enduring faith, and unconditional love. She worked as an Accounting Specialist at American Cool Air Corporation, where her sharp mind and meticulous attention to detail left a lasting impression.Allene had a gift for uncovering the stories of the past. Her passion for genealogy connected her with generations gone by, and she took great pride in preserving her familys history. She was also a gifted quilterher home was often filled with the warmth of hand-stitched blankets, each one a testament to her patience, creativity, and care. Friends and family will remember the hum of her sewing machine and the joy she found in turning scraps of fabric into treasured heirlooms.She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 72 years, Claude Mason Mosley. A love story marked by enduring partnership and unwavering devotion. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Sidney and Inez Ray Adams; two sons, Wayne Keith Mosley and Dennis Carrial Mosley, sister, Harriett Ogilvie; and grandson, James Mason Mosley.Allene is survived by her sons, Alan Ray Mosley (Renee) and Scott Mason Mosley (Taffie); her sister, Barbara Skipper; daughter-in-law, Diana; ten grandchildrenJustin, Morgan, Elizabeth, Carly, Mason, Nicholas, Isabella, Camden, Cooper, and Robert; and eight great-grandchildrenElizabeth, Noah, Silas, Natalie, Carly, Henry, Justin Jr., Mandy; and several nieces and nephews.She will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her fierce love for her family, and the quiet way she made any house a home. Whether through a warm meal, a thoughtful letter, or a quilt made with care, Allene showed her love in countless quiet waysand those gifts will remain in the hearts of all who knew her.A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, May 3, 2025, in Evergreen Cemetery, with Pastor Dr. Terry Gore officiating.Allene's legacy is one of love stitched into the fabric of her family.
