Mrs. Alma T. Outlaw age 90 of Starke passed away Sunday, November 28, 2021, at E.T. York Hospice in Gainesville. She was born November 14, 1931, in Live Oak to B.T. and Susie (Hines) Thomas. Mrs. Outlaw attended Jones College in Georgia which led her career to becoming a bookkeeper for many years before retiring. She was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church in Starke and loved being outdoors fishing and in her early years hunting. Sports of all types was another passion of hers especially if the Florida Gators were involved. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Lavern H. Outlaw, Sr., a great grandson Denlen Conner; grandson Hunter Outlaw; sister Eloise Dodd and a brother D.L. Thomas. Her survivors are three sons Lavern H. Outlaw, Jr. (Sueann McMullin) of Port Charlotte, Tommy Outlaw (Diann) of Starke, Dr. James F. Outlaw (Sandy) of Winter Park along with a sister Clara Hazen of Brooker. She was also lovingly called "Nana" by seven grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren. Also left behind is her longtime caregiver Sandra King of Starke. Funeral services for Mrs. Outlaw will be held at 12:00 p.m., Friday, December 3, 2021, in the First Baptist Church with Rev. Ben Bryant and Pastor Michael Conner officiating.
