Almond "Allie" A. Upton

Mr. Almond "Allie" A. Upton III, 64 of Melrose passed away Sunday, December 9, 2018, in Albany, New York following a brief illness. He was born January 1, 1954, in Stafford Springs, Connecticut to the late Almond A. and Dolores (Piccoli) Upton, Jr. Prior to his retirement, Allie was employed by UCONN for 33 years as a Quality Craft Worker. He enjoyed antiquing, going to yard sales, hunting and fishing. Allie leaves behind his high school sweetheart and dedicated wife of 40 years Judy (Flanders) Upton of Melrose and their son Michael J. Upton of Mancelona, Michigan formerly of Hawthorne and Ashford, Connecticut and a sister Linda Duval of Ashford, Connecticut. Also left behind is his mother in-law Laura Flanders of Melrose along with additional family and friends. A memorial service for Allie will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 25, 2019, at Fresh Start Fellowship with Pastor Steve Conner officiating..
