Angela (Angie) D. Kelsoe, "Mazda Momma", 69, of Branford, Florida, passed away on July 27, 2024 after a long illness. Angie was born in Pahokee, Florida on April 7, 1955 to Frank and Blanche Kelsoe.She is survived by her family and her partner of 20 years, Jean McNeil. She worked in law enforcement her entire life starting at the age of 15 in the clerk of the courts office. When she was 18, she graduated from the police academy and was the only female. In 1974, she was the first female and the youngest police officer in South Bay, Florida. She was loved by all, even the truck drivers that she gave tickets to. They nicknamed her Mazda Momma because her police car was a Mazda. She later became a corrections officer with the rank of Sargeant totaling 35 years in law enforcement. She was very proud of her service.She also coached young girl softball and worked with the youth and domestic violence survivors. She loved riding her motorcycle and 4-wheelers with the grandchildren. Always showing her beautiful dimples when she smiled which was always.She loved all of her family in South Florida as well as her family in North Florida including her 8 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. She loved deeply and will be missed very much.
