Mrs. Durban was born in Andalusia, AL on Jan. 26, 1941 to the late Marvin Dewey Elder who passed away in 1959 and Faro Dean Sadie (Stroud) Elder who passed away in 1993. Mrs. Durban moved to Gainesville in 1966 from Raiford and retired from CH2M Hill, following 22 _ years of dedicated service. Mrs. Durban is survived by her husband of 44 years, William L. Fay Durban: Daughter; Jessica Joyce Durban Shupe (Eric) of Kingsley Lake, Starke: Sons; William Lafayette Bo Durban, II (Keri) of Canton, GA, and Dewey Edward Durban of Starke: Stepdaughters; Denise Elizabeth Durban of Starke and Lisa Anne Durban Tatum (Tommy) of Lawtey: Grandchildren; Elizabeth Anne Bannister of Starke, Harrison Otto Hickman of Aiken, SC, Thomas Wesley Tatum, IV and Tymber Lee Tatum both of Lawtey, William Lafayette Will Durban, III and Nathan Alexander Durban of Canton, GA, Dylan Paige Shupe, Austin Cole Shupe, Alissa Anne Shupe, and Chris Shupe all of Kingsley Lake, Starke: Great grandchildren; Landon Tyler Bannister and Kaylin Elizabeth Bannister: Sister: Carla Robin Elder Jarrell (John) of Nashville, TN: Brothers; Marvin Dewayne Elder (Patty) of Lake City, George Eugene Butch Elder of Flagstaff, AZ and Dwight Clark Elder (Cleo) of Starke: Aunts: Cbell Stroud Elder and Martha Jo Mott Stroud. Funeral Services for Mrs. Durban will be held on Thursday December 18, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. in the First Baptist Church, 163 West Jefferson Street, Starke, FL 32091 with viewing held one hour prior to the service. The Reverend Ben Bryant, Retired Pastor of the First Baptist Church, will be officiating and the Reverend Steve Hayes, Pastor of First Christian Church will be giving Annes Story. Burial will follow in Lawtey Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hospice of Nature Coast, Ins.,644 N. Santa Fe Blvd. High Springs, FL 32643 in Mrs. Durbans name.
