Anita M. Lalone

Mrs. Anita M. (Hastings) LaLone, 81, passed away Sunday, May 15, 2016 at her home in Green Cove Springs, FL, while under the care of her son, Bill, and VITAS Hospice Care Services. Funeral services for Mrs. LaLone will be held on Thursday, May 26, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the St. Mary's Episcopal Church, 400 St. John's Avenue, Green Cove Springs, FL with Reverend Celeste Tisdelle officiating. Mrs. LaLone was born July 28, 1934 in Watertown, NY to the late Walter and Ubelda (Normand) Hastings. She was married to Byron Frederick LaLone, Sr. on September 12, 1951. She was a member of St. Mary's Episcopal Church. Mrs. LaLone worked several jobs throughout her life, including Walt Disney World, Orlando, FL. She was most rewarded while working with children as a bus monitor and crossing guard for Clay County Schools, FL. She was a "grandmother" to all and will be missed by all who knew her. Mrs. LaLone is survived her children, Anita (Jerry) Cobb of Pierrepont Manor, NY, Byron (Vaughn) LaLone, Jr. of St. Augustine, FL, Rosemary Hurley and William LaLone both of Green Cove Springs, FL, sisters, Jan Fobert , Marylin Cole, both of Watertown, NY and Thelma Seaver of Adams, NY, 9 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren. Mrs. LaLone is predeceased by her husband, Byron, a daughter, Judy, her siblings, John, Kenneth, Richard, Millie, Charlotte, Pat, and Dorothy, as well three grandchildren, Angela, Joseph, and Brian.
