Ann McCabe Belote, 96, passed away on February 14, 2015 in Jacksonville, FL. A native of Oriental, NC, she was graduated from UNC-G and taught English in Aurora High School for nine years before moving to Jacksonville, FL in 1948. She married W. Alton Belote in Oriental, NC on September 18, 1952, and they were both charter members of Lakewood United Methodist Church, in Jacksonville, FL where they resided after their marriage. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Martha Belote Rogers and Dr. Douglas Rogers; her son, David McCabe Belote; her grandchildren, Erin Lin Rogers and Julie Ji Rogers; her stepdaughter, Eleanor Belote Connan; and her stepson, William A. Belote, Jr. A celebration service will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Lakewood United Methodist Church, 6133 San Jose Blvd. in Jacksonville with Reverend Scott Farman officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at 10:00 a.m. in the Belote Bible Class room. A reception will be held in the Fellowship Hall following the service.
