ObituaryMrs. Ann Scattergood GriffisMrs. Ann Scattergood Griffis age 91, of Jacksonville passed away Tuesday, September 27, 2011 at Community Hospice, Hadlow Center for Caring. Mrs. Griffis was born on November 23, 1919 in Emilie, PA to the late Mark Balderston and Jane Eves Haines Bacon and moved to Jacksonville from Miami one year ago. Ann was a homemaker and member of Plymouth Congregational Church in Coconut Grove. She was preceded in death by her husband of over 60 years David Noel Griffis. Survivors are: daughter: Jane Griffis Dunn of Armonk, NY; sons: William David Griffis of Estancia, NM; Stephen Noel Griffis of Ponte Vedra Beach; Andrew Bacon Griffis of League City, TX; seven grandchildren.
