Anna Maria Smilowitz, 86, of Gainesville, passed away January 4, 2012 at North Florida Regional Medical Center. Anna was born in New York, New York and has lived in Gainesville for 35 years.She is survived by son Lester Smilowitz, daughter Carol Tedeschi, brothers Bernard Palazzola and Stephen Palazzola, sister Gloria Palazzola, grandchildren Kenneth, Gail, Donna, Michelle, Dawn, and Teresa.A visitation will be held on Monday, January 9, 2012 from 1-2:00 PM at Forest Meadows Memorial Park Central, Chapel in the Meadows, 4100 NW 39th Avenue, Gainesville, Fl.
