“I am Australian”

On the morning of July 22, 2026, Antonia Elizabeth Fraietta Ray often known as “Buffa” got up as every other morning and requested her much loved cup of tea. She spend the day with friends Sandi Goodwin and Susan Weeks laughing, talking and enjoying the beautiful day God has given us. Around 2:30 that afternoon with the Florida sun at its full glory, she returned to her room where she quietly passed away at the age of 57. For all those she touched and shared her life with, Antonia will always be gratefully remembered for her love and compassion for others. Especially those in need and hurting. She was a great friend, sister and daughter. She loved to travel, visiting many places worldwide. She was fond of fine food and became a great cook herself. She was passionate about football (Soccer) and served as an umpire of girls’ softball. Sharing her time with young people was a positive influence. She was dubbed by a friend as “a pillar of the community”. There was no end to her energy and joy. She loved cats, her VW Beatle, and country music.

Antonia entered the world on March 28, 1969, in Sydney Australia NSW. She was the beautiful daughter of Raffella and the late Domenic Fraietta. She is survived by her close and loving family, her Mother Raffella and her siblings Margarita, Tony and Gus Fraietta.

As well as many others that she touched, Antonia will be deeply missed. This is not what anyone wanted, but she no longer has to suffer. Her love for life was not hindered by her wheelchair or her multiple medical issues. She thanked God for the gift of life and the love that comes from Him. Her words, “Today is the best day of your life, don’t waste it,” will remain an inspiration to all who knew her. As family and friends move through this time of sadness, it is their prayer that the Lord welcomes His beloved daughter into Heaven and fills all who knew her with His heavenly spirit, so they may love one another as she did, as He has commanded us. Amen.

The Family will receive friends Friday July 31, 2026 at 3 PM, Funeral Services will immediately follow at 4:00 PM in the chapel of Moloney-Hewell Funeral Home, 4140 University Blvd. South, Jacksonville, FL 32216.
