Arlene Elizabeth Blackburn, 82, of Gainesville, passed away at her home on January 17, 2013. She was born Arlene Bath in Sugar Notch, Pennsylvania and moved to Gainesville 32 years ago from New York. Arlene was an RN at the Malcolm Randle V.A. Medical Center and was a member of Abiding Savior Lutheran Church. She enjoyed bingo and gardening but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her loving family.She was preceded in death by her husband, John Blackburn, who had been a Commander at the VFW. Arlene is surived by children Arlene Ouligian (Michael) of Alachua, Sandy Connolly (Dennis) of Chiefland, John Blackburn (Colleen) of Gainesville, Susan Mandeville (Paul), of Gainesville, grandchildren Matthew (Diane), Becky, Elizabeth, Denny, Johnny, Jarah, Danny, Kristina and great grandson Jack Michael. Arlene also is survived by 2 brothers and 2 sisters.Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, January 19, 2013 at 12:00 PM at Abiding Savior Lutheran Church, 9700 W. Newberry Rd., Gainesville, FL. Burial will follow at Forest Meadows Memorial Park Central. Visitation was held on Friday from 5-7 PM at Forest Meadows Funeral Home.
