Arnold "Ben" Bolt

Arnold "Ben" Bolt, 82, peacefully departed this life on Saturday, August 29th after reuniting with his brother (James Bolt) and sister (Shirley Stanton) in Roanoke Virginia. His childhood was spent in Christiansburg, Virginia. After serving in the U.S. Navy, he settled in Jacksonville, Florida, where he married Elsa Lee Hannah and had two sons, Michael and George. His family was the focus and joy of his life. Next to his family, his passion was aviation, working for National Airlines which was eventually acquired by Pan Am World Airways. He also loved college football, including the Florida Gators and Miami Hurricanes. Married in October 1963, he rejoins his devoted wife Elsa Lee, while leaving to cherish his memory his sons Michael (wife Susan) and George (wife Amy), grandchildren, Alyssa, George Benjamin "Ben", Lorna, Hadley and Anthony James "A.J.". Arnold is also survived by his brother James Bolt and sister Shirley Stanton of Roanoke, Virginia. A graveside remembrance will be held on Friday Sept. 4th, at 11:00 a.m. at the Jacksonville National Cemetery located at 4083 Lannie Road, Jacksonville. FL 32218.
