Audrey Fay Jones, 93, of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away peacefully on May 9, 2026. Born on January 13, 1933, in Martens, Texas, Audrey lived a life centered around faith, family, kindness, and service to others.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Freddie Glenmore Jones; her parents, Loyd Greer and Lillian Lavonia Sullivan; and many cherished family members and friends whom she held close throughout her life.

Audrey was a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend who created a loving and stable home for her family. She is survived by her children, Linda and her husband Sanford Salyers, Steve Jones and his wife Tami, and Keith Jones. She was a proud and loving Nana whose grandchildren could do no wrong in her eyes, and her love and encouragement extended through generations of family.

For many years, Audrey served as the librarian at Englewood Elementary School, where she impacted the lives of countless children with her warmth, patience, and caring spirit. She was known for always offering encouragement, a smile, and a kind word to everyone she met.

Her faith was the foundation of her life. Audrey was deeply devoted to Englewood Christian Church in Jacksonville, where she faithfully attended and served for decades. She taught Sunday School and Children's Church for many years and developed lifelong friendships through her church family and countless church gatherings and fellowship events. The church and its people held a very special place in her heart.

Audrey will be remembered as good-hearted, sweet, funny, supportive, and deeply caring. She loved her family dearly and was especially proud of her children and grandchildren. She also had a well-known love for Dr Pepper, which those closest to her will always smile about and remember fondly.

Though her family will miss her deeply, they take comfort in knowing she is now at peace, reunited with her beloved Freddie and surrounded by everlasting love.

A Memorial Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at Englewood Christian Church, 4316 Barnes Road South, Jacksonville, Florida 32207, from 10:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., with the memorial service beginning at 11:00 a.m.
