Mrs. Barbara Casey, age 84, of Starke passed away Monday, April 13, 2015. She was born in Lawtey on February 14, 1931 to the late Fred and Mary (Boyer) Moore, and began her career with the Bradford County School System in 1964 as a secretary working in various offices until her retirement in 1988. She was a member of Starke First Baptist Church and loved being with her grandchildren. Mrs. Casey also was an avid reader and enjoyed sewing and traveling. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas L. Casey, Jr., two sisters, Ernestine Thomas and Ann Andrews and son-in-law, Johnny Hobbs. Survivors are her two children, Lee Casey (Karen) and Kathy Hobbs all of Starke; six siblings, Fred Moore (Valeri) of Kingsley Lake, Gayle Todor of Daytona, Jimmy Moore of White Springs, Chuck Moore (Celia) of Cooper City, Reeney Houseman of Jacksonville and Micky Moore (Denise) of Lawtey. Also left behind are her grandchildren, Tara Casey, Thomas Casey (Jamie), Julia Casey, Christopher Hobbs (Sierra) and Will Hobbs (Brittany); six great grandchildren, Peyton, Kairi, Taylor, Abigail, Madison, and Hayden. Funeral services for Mrs. Casey will be held at 12 Noon, Wednesday, April 15, 2015 in the First Baptist Church with Reverend Ben Bryant and Reverend Scott Crook officiating. Viewing will begin at 11:00 a.m. at the church. Interment will follow at Crosby Lake Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Make A Wish Foundation, 1020 N.
