Barbara Jean Helbert Barbara Jean Helbert 77, of Jacksonville passed away March 23, 2013 at her residence after a long illness, surrounded by her loving family. Barbara was a native of Jacksonville, and had lived here all of her life, she retired from the Duval County School Board after many years of faithful service. She was a member of Oceanway Assembly of God Church, Eastern Star, and Ladies of the Moose Lodge. She was predeceased by her husband Virgil (Pud) Helbert, and a sister Luanna Pylant. Survivors include her daughter Karen Leanne Maxwell (John), her son Mark Helbert (Robin), 1 sister Betty Jean Kirksey (Buddy), 2 grandchildren Sean E. Helbert, Morgan E. Maxwell, 1 great grandson Eason Helbert, and her best friend Margaret Holt. A graveside funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday in Evergreen Cemetery with Rev. Ken Barney officiating (enter thru gate #6 off 44th St.). The family will receive friends at George H.
