Barbara C. Lesta Barbara C. Lesta, 80, went to be with the Lord, peacefully from her home on Friday, February 17, 2012, after a lengthy battle with cancer. Barbara was born August 25, 1931 in Mortlake, England and moved to the U.S. in 1967. She was a homemaker in Wakarusa, Indiana and retired with her husband in 1992 to Jacksonville, FL. She was a member of First Baptist Church where she served her Lord. She is survived by her son, Dr. Ken Lesta (Barnetta), pastor of Emmanuel Baptist Church, Sydney, Australia; and daughter, Erika Lesta (Hershel White) of Key West, Florida. Also surviving are thirteen grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert of 54 years, and her twin daughters, Jackie Hunter and Jill Hawn. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Wednesday at First Baptist Church, 124 W Ashley St, Jacksonville, FL. The family will receive friends from 10-11 AM Wednesday.
