Barbara Jane Manry Loesch died on February 20, 2025. Barbara was born February 12, 1941, in Jacksonville, Florida, to Daniel Smith Manry and Rossie Ann Carraway Manry. She graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in Jacksonville and attended Emory and Henry College in Emory, Virginia. She studied ballet in her formative years and became prima ballerina of the Jacksonville Civic Ballet Company at age 15. She worked as a professional calligrapher and photographer in the 1980's and was owner and operator of a retail stationery and gift shop "The Write Impression" in Haile Village Center from 1996 to 2004. Always a lover of the arts, she enjoyed performing as a member of the Junior League of Gainesvilles "Children's Theater" for many years. She served two years as president of the Danscompany of Gainesville and several years on its Board of Directors. She was a member of the United Church of Gainesville. Her hobbies included photography, genealogy research, and continued study of dance. She is survived by her beloved husband Larry Loesch; treasured daughters, Jane Golde; Tracy Shubin; Julie (and Riley) Hernandez; and Stacey (and Danny) Dunn; cherished grandchildren Eli, Griffin, and Lila Golde; Jessie and John Shubin; Hunter (and Blake and Rylee) Wright; Landy (and Evalese) Hernandez, and Ruby Hernandez; Maggie Dunn and Andrew Redmond, Katie, Claire and Allie Dunn; and sister, Ann Manry Kenyon of Jacksonville, FL, and brother Daniel Smith Manry, Jr. (deceased). A Celebration of Life memorial service for Barbara will be held on Saturday, March 15 at 1:00 pm at the United Church of Gainesville, 1624 NW 5th Avenue, Gainesville, FL. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Haven Hospice, 4200 NW 90 Blvd, Gainesville, FL 32606.
