Barbara Elizabeth McGuire, beloved wife and mother, passed away the evening of April 9, 2025 at her residence. Barbara was born February 23, 1942 in Sussex New Brunswick Canada.

Barbara is survived and missed by her loving husband Robert D. McGuire of 64 years; and her children Deborah G. McGuire, Randall J. McGuire and wife Audrey, and Lori D Trillo and husband Carlos. Barbara will also be fondly remembered by her 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren, and her brothers Douglas Johnston, David Johnston, Darryl Johnston, and Brian Johnston. Barbara was predeceased by her son Robert D McGuire (USMC), and her parents Earl and Edith Johnston.

Barbara grew up in New Brunswick Canada, where she met Robert at a senior high school dance. Nine months later, they were married and had their first child two years later. In 1973 they moved to Ottawa, Ontario where she attended the University of Ottawa. She continued her education after moving to the USA attending the University of Central Florida. Barbara lived a life of faith, kindness, and compassion. She found joy in helping others, whether it was volunteering for meals on wheels, working with children, and comforting the homeless.

Besides taking care of her family, Barbara found immense joy in rescuing and caring for animals throughout her life, and her home was always filled with happy sounds of furry friends.
