Mrs. Barbara Jean Richey age 82, of Waldo passed away Saturday, November 6, 2010 at her daughters home. Mrs. Richey was born on February 15, 1928 in Brunswick, GA to the late William Edward and Julia Robinson Beach and was a lifelong area resident. Barbara was a Methodist by faith and a homemaker. She enjoyed her family, needle point and reading. She was preceded in death by her husband Daniel J. Richey, Jr.; son: Michael Richey; brother: Richard Beach; grandchildren: Dwight F. Roberts and Rebecca Russell. Survivors are: daughters: Joyce Land (Steve); Janet Russell (Ronnie) both of Waldo; Gail Roberts (Jerry) of Gainesville; son: Danny Richey (Jane) of Waldo; nine grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren. The family will receive friends at the JONES-GALLAGHER FUNERAL HOME on Tuesday, November 9, 2010 from 5-7 PM. Funeral services will be on Wednesday, November 10, 2010 at 11:00 AM in the DEWITT C. JONES CHAPEL in Starke with Pastor Don Thompson officiating. Interment will follow in Laurel Grove Waldo Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Haven Hospice, 4200 NW 90th Blvd., Gainesville, FL 32606.
