Mrs. Barbara Ann Starner age 83, of Lawtey passed away at her home on Friday, June 29, 2012. She was born in Mason, West Virginia on April 22, 1929 to the late Landon and Marjorie Smith. Prior to her retirement, Mrs. Starner was a Deputy Clerk at the Bradford County Court House. She was also a member of the First Christian Church of Starke, the Tri County Eastern Star of Ft. Lauderdale, the Bible Study Fellowship, and she loved reading. Her husband William Edward Starner had preceded her in death in 2008. Survivors are her daughters; Candi Sue Childers (Dennis) of St. Augustine, Cindy Lou Cannon of Lawrenceburg, KY, Cathy Louise Fischer and Beth Ann Williams (Mike) all of Starke. Mrs. Starner also leaves behind her sister; Loretta Jo Gothard of Pennsylvania, 8 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and 9 great great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, July 1, 2012 at 1:00 P.M. in the First Christian Church with Pastor Charles Soper and Pastor John Faulkner officiating. Burial will be at a later date at the Crosby Lake Cemetery.
