Mrs. Beatrice Benson age 82, of Starke passed away Saturday, March 21, 2015 at the Riverwood Health & Rehab in Starke. She was born in Dawsonville, Georgia on June 20, 1932 to the late Ashley E. and Mattie Lou (Bush) Brown, Sr. and was of the Baptist Faith. Prior to her retirement, Mrs. Benson had served as the activities director for 20 years at Bradford Terrace Nursing Home. Mrs. Benson is survived by her three sons and their spouses; Dwayne Alday (Linda) and Jack Waterhouse (Andrea) all of Starke and David G. Clay (Sandra) of St. Augustine along with four grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Memorial services for Mrs. Benson will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 24, 2015 in the DeWitt C. Jones Chapel with Pastor Mike Moore officiating. Interment will follow at a later date.
