Ben B. Buchanan, 93, of Gainesville, passed awayDecember 4, 2011 at Westshore Manor in Tampa. Ben was born in Houston, Mississippi and moved to Gainesville in 1993 from Nebraska. He retired as a chemical engineer form Phillips Petroleum Company.He is preceded in death by his wife Betty Buchanan. He is survived by sons Douglas Buchanan of Tampa, Barry Buchanan of Gainesville, and Jeffrey Buchanan of Lafayette, CO, and 3 grandchildren.
