Benjamin Byron Weatherly

Mr. Benjamin Byron Weatherly of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away at the age of 89 on July 16, 2021. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, July 27, 2021 at 1 p.m. in the chapel of George H. Hewell and Son Funeral Home, 4140 University Boulevard, South Jacksonville, FL 32216 with Pastor Perry Fruscella officiating.Ben enjoyed 63 years of sobriety and is one of the founders of Alco Halfway House. He was preceded in death by his wife Delia Weatherly and his son Darrell Weatherly. Ben is survived by his son Byron Weatherly; sisters Jean Compton and Madge Cowan; stepchildren Chris Riebsame, Frank Widner, Ellen Tedder, Lucy Bolena, Netha Diamond, Sherry Odom, and Chris Smith; and many loving nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made in his name to Alco Halfway House, 1120 Hubbard St, Jacksonville, FL 32206..Memorial ServiceGeorge H.
