Mrs. Bernice O. "Robin" Robinson DeRyke age 95, of Starke formerly of Grand Haven Michigan and more recently of Apopka, Florida passed away Friday, November 28, 2014 at North Florida Regional Medical Center in Gainesville. Mrs. DeRyke was born on May 22, 1919 in Thorsby, Alabama to the late Walter and Nancy (Davis) Robinson and moved to Starke 3 years ago. She was a registered nurse and worked in Birmingham, AL and Grand Haven Michigan before retiring from Florida Hospital in Apopka. Robin was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Apopka since 1963 and currently attended the First United Methodist Church of Starke, where she enjoyed membership in the Prime Timers. Preceding her in death was her husband Harold DeRyke, her sister Elwyn, and dear friend Dale Stahl.Survivors are: her daughter: Nancy Odom of Starke, grandchildren: Leigh Ann Watson (Tom) of Newman, GA, Matt Odom (Susan) of Gainesville, and Mark Odom of Mt. Dora. She is also survived by her great grandchildren Conner and Caden, nephew: Jim Marcus (Jan) of Naples, and her sister-in-law: Marcia Luy of Richmond, KY.Memorial services will be held on Sunday, December 14, 2014 at 3:00 PM at the FIRST UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, 200 N. Walnut Street in Starke with Pastor Mike Moore officiating. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the 1st United Methodist Church of Apopka, 201 S.
