Mrs. Bessie Tomkins Allen 93, of Keystone Heights passed away Oct. 9, 2011. She was born on Oct. 17, 1917 in Walnut Hill, FL and had moved to Keystone Heights from Jacksonville where she was active in the Ortega Methodist Church. Her memberships in Keystone include the Methodist Church, Woman Circle, and Golf and Country Club. Her husband of 66 years Arthur Allen had preceded her in death. Survivors are her son; Ronald Arthur Allen and his wife Nita, and James Dawson Allen all of Jacksonville, Step Grandchildren; Tonya and Chad, and Step great grandchildren; Ila and Rylan. A graveside service will be held at 1100 A.M. on Thurs. Oct. 13, 2011 at the Keystone Heights Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Community Hospice, 4266 Sunbeam Rd.
