Mrs. Bessie Hansen Gill Campbell age 73, of Jacksonville passed away on Jan. 1, 2013 at the St. Vincents Hospital unexpectedly. Mrs. Campbell was born on May 8, 1939 in Jacksonville to the late Charles and Sadie (Altman) Bessent. Prior to retirement she was a clerk for the Duval County School System for 30 years. Mrs. Campbell had been a resident of Keystone Heights since 1986 and a member of the Trinity Baptist where she was a Sunday school teacher. In 2012 Mrs. Campbell had moved back to Jacksonville and joined the First Baptist Church. She enjoyed taking care of her family and friends and gardening. Preceding her in death were her husbands; Richard E. Hansen, Sr. and Emmet E.C. Gill. Survivors are; her husband, Stuart Campbell, children; Richard E. Hansen, Jr. (Kimberly), Tammy McInarnay (Michael) all of Jacksonville, Dawn Thompson (James) of Loudon, TN, Dr. Bud Gill (Karen) of Vero Beach, Pastor Dick Gill (Edwina) of Dawson, GA, Pastor Danny Gill (Arlene) of Geneva, AL, Rev. Jeff Gill (Tanya) of Hawthorne, Sharon Thummel and Scott Campbell (Emma) all of Fort Smith, AR, Stuart Campbell, Jr. (Robin) of Odenville, AL, and Sandra Rothweiler (Richard) of Jacksonville. Mrs. Campbell also leaves behind her siblings, Raymond Bessent (Vonnie) of Grandin, Gladys Miller, Erma Wimberly, and Jimmie Sauls all of Jacksonville, and Katherine Henry of Brooker, 5 grandchildren; Autumn, Amy, Renee, Robin, Sabrina, and from them 5 great grandchildren, and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, whom she lovingly called acquired and treasured as her own. The family will receive friends on Fri. Jan. 4, 2013 at the Trinity Baptist Church in Keystone Heights from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the church on Sat. Jan. 5, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastors James Peoples and Scott Stanland officiating. Burial will follow at 3:00 p.m. at the Gethsemane Memorial Gardens in Jacksonville.
