Mrs. Betty Jo Crawford DavisMrs. Betty Jo Crawford Davis age 80, of Hampton passed away Tuesday, June 5, 2012, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born on August 8, 1931, in Starke to the late Peach and Leona (Starling) Crawford and was a lifelong area resident. She was a devoted military wife and a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed her family, fishing, bingo, and treasure hunting. Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, George Earl Davis, one grandson, five brothers, and three sisters. She is survived by her daughters: Carol Erby (Paul) of Winterville, NC; Amy Davis (Timmy Newman) of Hampton; Virginia Ginny Qualls (Mike) of Starke; her sons: Carl Davis (Kay) of Fleming Island; George Davis of Hampton; Scott Davis (Melissa) of Hampton; her sisters: Lucille Carlton of Starke; Shirley Kallenbach of Starke; Bonnie Lord of Oak Ridge, NC; ten grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and many loving nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the DEWITT C. JONES CHAPEL in Starke, 620 East Nona Street, on Sunday, June 10, 2012 from 4-6 p.m. Funeral services will be on Monday, June 11, 2012, at 1:00 p.m. in the DEWITT C.
