Funeral services for Betty Louise Lairsey, 92 whom passed away February 16, 2024 will be held Friday, February 23, 2024 at 11AM in the chapel of George H. Hewell and Son Funeral Home, 4140 University Boulevard, South Jacksonville, FL 32216 with Brother James White officiating. The family will receive friends for a visitation on Thursday from 6-8PM at the funeral. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery. Mrs. Lairsey was born in Waycross, GA and was a long-time resident of Jacksonville, FL. She was a member of the Baptist faith. She was a school crossing guard in Duval County for many years. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of forty-three years the late; Calvin Lairsey. Survivors include her two daughters; Brenda L. Compton and Pat Starling (Kenny), two sons; James White and Tommy Lairsey; one sister Helen Davis; seven grandchildren; Casey Lairsey, Travis Compton, TJ Lindbloom (Jessica), Jesse Compton, Danielle Rhoden (Warren), Gabriel White (Autumn) and Tikka Gill (Frankie). Fourteen great-grandchildren; Christian Lairsey, Cheyenne Lairsey, Kyra Wilnau (Michael), Calvin Lindbloom, Kaleb Lindbloom, Katelyn Lindbloom, Galen Rhoden, Bailey Rhoden, Malachi Rhoden, Kaleigh White, Kadin White, Crystal White, Haley Gill and Terry Junior White. Three great-great grandchildren; Twila Compton, Oliver Wilnau and Brayden Joyner.
