Funeral services for Mrs. Betty Groover Lucas, 76, widow of Robert Herschel Lucas, will be held at 12:00pm Friday, May 30, 2014 from the graveside in Ochlochnee Cemetery, Ochlochnee, Georgia with The Rev. Paul Hancock of All Saints Episcopal Church, Thomasville, Georgia officiating. Born December 23, 1937 in Cairo, Georgia to Imogene and Ralph Groover, Betty died Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at her home in Jacksonville Beach, Florida. She was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Jacksonville and taught children with learning disabilities before retiring. Survivors include her daughter Kim Lucas Howard and her husband David; three grandsons, Josh, Adam, and Cory Howard all of Jacksonville Beach, Florida and several cousins. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Community Hospice of Northeast Florida. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of George H.
