BETTY JEAN JACKSON MORGAN

Mrs. Betty Jean Morgan, age ,90, of Hawthorne and formerly of Starke passed away Sunday, July 5, 2026, at UF Health Shands Hospital. She was born on October 18, 1935, in Lee to Joseph and Betsy (Williams) Jackson. Prior to retirement she was employed with Community Bank for 32 years.

Mrs. Morgan loved traveling, camping, and going to the beach with her family, or should we say “glamping” in their different RV’s over the years. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a kind, loving and wonderful woman who was loved by so many.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brother, Wendell Jackson, and a sister, Josephine Jackson.

Left behind to cherish her memory is her husband of 57 years, Glynn Morgan, sons, Richard “Rickie” Driggers (Mary) and Kirk Driggers, all of Hawthorne, her 4 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren who lovingly called her “Granny”.

Funeral Services will be at the Forest Meadows Funeral Home in Gainesville on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, from 4-7p.m. with the eulogy being read at 5pm.
