Betty Turner Queen the daughter of Harold and Edith Doyle was born in Memphis, TN on July23, 1932.She found peace on August 10, 2022, in Gainesville.Betty traveled all over the world while also raising five children in the Keys.She later moved to Gainesville and met Bill. They also traveled and fell in love with Lake Tahoewhere they were married. Betty was a huge Gator fan, going to baseball, football, andbasketball. The 06-07 basketball team was her favorite.Betty wrote many stories and essays about her life and family. She also loved sharing them withher writing class. Betty was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all.She is survived by husband, William "Bill" Queen, sons, David Smith, Michael Smith, and Paul"Bob" Turner, daughters, Debby Carstensen, and Theresa Hollaway, step-daughters, Stacy Kriserand family, and Christine Queen, grandchildren, Nicole Carstensen, Christopher Harvey, andMatthew Harvey, as well as her beloved dogs, Blackjack, Danny, and Princess.Flowers or donations in her memory to St. Judes Children's Hospital would be greatlyappreciated.Funeral services will be celebrated on Monday, August 15 th at 2:00 pm at Forest MeadowsFuneral Home, 725 NW 23 rd Avenue Gainesville.
