Melrose- Mrs. Betty Jane Royal, age 85 of Melrose, died Thursday, February 11, 2010 at Shands at the University of Florida. Born on March 26, 1925 in Freeport IL, she was the daughter of the late Edward F. and Kathryn L. (Rodgers) Shoemaker.Mrs. Royal was a homemaker and was of the Methodist faith.She was predeceased by her husband William A. Royal.She is survived by her sister: Patricia L. Campbell of Keystone Heights.
