Betty Jean Wells

Ms. Betty Jean (Gleaton) Wells age 76, of Starke, passed away Sunday, October 22, 2017 at her residence. Mrs. Wells was born on August 30, 1941 in Aiken, South Carolina to the late Thurmond and Ruth (Chavis) Gleaton and moved to Starke from Palatka. Prior to retirement she worked at Camp Blanding for the housing office. She was of the Christian faith and enjoyed spending time with family. Survivors are: daughters: Ann Pickell of Palatka, Pam Ring of Lawtey, Martha Jean (Mark) Patray of Starke, sons: Billy Luke of Cherokee, NC, Kenny (Deanna) Luke of Callahan, James (Dina) Luke of Starke, David (Laurie) Luke of Palm Bay, brother: Walter Gleaton of Lawtey, sisters: Shirley Fulmer and Cindy Callahan both of South Carolina. Also left behind are her nine grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. The family will receive friends at the Dewitt C Jones Chapel of JONES-GALLAGHER FUENRAL HOME on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 from 11:00 A.M. till 12:00 noon with funeral services beginning at 12 oclock. Interment will follow in Keystone Heights Cemetery with Pastor Mitch Perry officiating. Arrangements are by JONES-GALLAGHER FUNERAL HOME OF STARKE 904-964-6200.
