Bigna was born on August 18, 1930 to the late Baron Thomas and Marguerite von Wyttenbach in Bern, Switzerland. She married the love of her life, the late Dr. John E. Francis on July 25, 1959 in Washington, D.C. Bigna was a renowned International Real Estate broker and spokesperson. She was an accomplished author writing a historical novel, as well as 3 children's books. She was an entrepreneur owning several small businesses. She was fluent in 7 languages, as well as a private language teacher. Bigna leaves behind her loving family, son Peter Francis and his wife Karen, son Robert Francis and his wife Karen, daughter Patricia Smith, and her husband Jeffrey. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Gary Garnes, Kristina Francis, Kimberly Francis, Katherine Francis, Victoria Francis, Alexandra Francis, Jake Smith and Jessica Smith.
