Bill Burns French Jr, 75, of Newberry, FL passed away on 12/3/2018.Bill was born in Eustis, FL on March 8, 1943. He graduated from Roane County High School inKingston, TN and continued on to receive a further education from the University ofTennessee, then Tennessee Tech and Devry University where he graduated as an HonorGraduate in 1976.In between schools, Bill joined the Navy from 1961-1965 and then the Army Reserve from1965-1966 and the Air Force from 1966-1970 where in 1968 he was in Vietnam during the TetOffensive. Bill also served in the Air National Guard from 1972-1975 following the war.Bill was married to Pamela on February 12, 1983; they were married 18 years.Bill worked as a Electronic Tech and Aviation Electrician for a number of companies as aGovernment Contractor, including Bell Helicopter from 1976-1979, Martin Marietta Corp. from1980-1984, Lockheed Support Systems Inc. from 1984-1987, McDonald Douglas Services1987-1990, Lockheed Martin Logistics Maintenance from 1990-1995, Northrop GrummanCorp. from 1995-1999 and finally Lockheed Martin Logistics DS2 from 1999-2010.Heenjoyed watching movies, reading books and spending time with his sons at museums andhistorical monuments. He was also actively involved in the Boy Scouts of America with hisboys and donated to the Police Charities every year.Bill is survived by his three sons, Bill III, Matthew, & Benjamin as well as his grandchildrenLianella, Levi, Luke, & Adalyn. Bill is also survived by his sisters Margaret and Susie, brotherJohn, and nephews Kevin, Brett, Alex, Mark and Amos and Niece Holy Water as well as theirchildren.Bill is preceded in death by his father Bill Sr, mother Ruby and his brother Edward.In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to Bill III which can be sent to, 943 NW252nd Dr. Newberry, FL 32669.The memorial service will be held at Evans Carter Funeral Home, High Springs, FL onSaturday December 8th, 2018 at 4pm.
