A funeral service for Billie Jean Christian (89) of Jacksonville, FL, will be held on Saturday, April 29, 2023 at 10AM in the chapel of George H. Hewell and Son Funeral, 4140 University Boulevard, South Jacksonville, FL with Rev. Gerald E. Savery, Jr. officiating. Billie was born on January 17, 1934 in Mooresburg, Tennessee and passed away on April 23, 2023 in Jacksonville, FL. Billie is preceded in death by her loving husband of 55 years George B. Christian, her parents; Parrot and Myrtle Harrell Carpenter, two sisters; Marie Gordon and Dorothy Ross. Two brothers; Harrell Carpenter and Ronnie Carpenter. Billie is survived by her Son George C. Christian and his wife Kelly Christian of Jax, FL, four grandchildren; Robert May, Chase Christian, Marcella Eisenhauer and Tyler Hains. Four Great Grandchildren; Robert May, Jr., Kendall Hains, London Christian, Legend Eisenhauer and many nieces and nephews. She will be dearly missed by her good friends; Cheri Green, Diane Locke, Mary Joiner, Kathy Hains and Dr. Stephen Bagnoli MD. Billie was the co-owner of Beaches Cab Company and AAA Limo Service from 1962-1991. She was also very active and served many years with the DAV-Auxiliary and served a term as State Commander. The family will receive friends at the visitation on Friday between the hours of 6-8PM, at the funeral home.
