Mr. Billy Jerry Jarvis, age 72 of Starke, passed away peacefully in Middleburg, following an extended illness. He was born on June 8, 1953, in Fries, Virginia to the late Bruce and Marie (Crouse) Jarvis.

Billy proudly served as a Colonel at Florida State Prison, dedicating many years to his career. He was a man of many passions, with woodworking and fishing taking up much of his time outside of work. Billy was also a member at Bethel Baptist Church on 230A, where he found a strong sense of community and faith.

Married to his loving wife, Janie (Pearson) Jarvis, since 1972, their love story was an inspiration to all who knew them. Together, they raised two wonderful daughters: Cassandra Olson (Mike Mitchell), Heather Jarvis (Shaun In). Billy cherished his role as "Papaw" to his grandchildren, pouring love and wisdom into their lives. He is survived by his sister, June (Jarvis) Lee and her husband Ricky as well as many nieces and nephews.
